The dynamics of global value chains, the growing �servitization� of production, the organization of economic activities in networks and the concomitant increase of �atypical� forms of employment have all become issues of debate. This analysis describes, from a management and organization theory perspective, how these developments are inter-linked and which challenges they pose for industrial relations and trade union strategies.
