Abstract
Which factors determine the attitude towards migrants? Two Hungarian researchers, Vera Messing and Bence Ságvári, have used international comparative studies and country-specific statistical data to identify which characteristics are socially and individuelly responsible for making a society more hostile to immigration or, on the contrary, inclusive. The European comparison shows what exactly feeds these fears in each country.
