Greece�s rankings in European Skills Index by Cedefop highlight the country�s relevant problems in the areas of skills development, skills activation and skills matching. In this publication the members of the working group �Education and Employment� of FES Athens throw light on the causes of Greece�s poor performance in specific areas but also draw up concrete proposals for policy intervention. Modernising the education system and especially VET education belong to the core of the proposals of the working group.
