The conflict situation in Venezuela seems to be deadlocked, the polarization between the two conflict parties is dangerous and all attempts of mediation have so far been fruitless. Proposals for peaceful political conflict resolution are therefore urgently needed. Therefore, this FES analysis on Venezuela would like to create a broader understanding of the conflict situation and promote a moderating approach to conflict resolution. Four academics and security experts from Latin America (Brazil, Venezuela, Uruguay and Argentina) contributed to the analysis. The proposed solutions to the conflict situation in Venezuela presented in the analysis deserve special attention.
