The study is a part of the FES European Youth Studies project. It investigates the opinions of Slovakian youth on a broad range of topics, such as education, employment, political participation, family relationships, and values. It is based on a representative online survey in the age group 15-29 (a sample of 1,500 respondents), ten in-depth interviews and three focus groups. The study shows that, compared to other V4 countries, the highest share of young people in Slovakia live in rural areas, start living on their own at a later date, and delay starting a family. Furthermore, young Slovakians have the most negative attitudes in the region towards the European Union but show an increasing interest in topics such as social injustice and climate change.
