Abstract
The northeastern Syrian governorate of Al-Hasakeh is governed by a number of de facto authorities, each of which imposes its own educational curriculum on civilians in an effort to advance its political and social ideologies, which further entrench social divisions among the local population. This policy brief examines the three curricula that are adopted across al-Hasakeh Governorate, it then goes on to discuss the effects of the various spheres of influence and educational curricula on the future of the local population. Finally, it offers preliminary solutions to address the issue and lessen its negative effects.
