  • The climate crisis is one of the biggest challenges of the 21st century. However, the debate largely focuses on political strategies to decarbonise our economies, and about technical and financial solutions to do so. But what about people? Few studies focus on the consequences of the climate crisis on the individual, on local communities, and on societies. This paper analyses the links between climate policies, decision-making processes, financial flows and SOCIETY. The study focuses on the countries transforming from planned to market economies, i.e. Central and Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia
