This article is an edited version of a presentation made during the discussion on �The Relevance of the Godesberg Program for Social Democracy and Democracy in Germany�, 14th May 2015. The aim is to answer the following two questions: (1) What kind of impacts has the Godesberg Program of the SPD had on the politics in South Korea? (2) How did the socialists and social democratic-oriented people in Korean Politics and Society percieve the adoption of the Godesberg Program at that time?
