This article is an edited version of a presentation made during the discussion on “The Relevance of the Godesberg Program for Social Democracy and Democracy in Germany“, 14th May 2015. The aim is to answer the following two questions: (1) What kind of impacts has the Godesberg Program of the SPD had on the politics in South Korea? (2) How did the socialists and social democratic-oriented people in Korean Politics and Society percieve the adoption of the Godesberg Program at that time?
