State-Nation building in Iraq collides with complex obstacles and uncertainty; it is unclear until now whether the Iraqi state goes toward federal government or central one. Furthermore, the role of religion and minorities (ethnic or religious) has been vague so far with no consensus signs on the form of the state and role of various minorities in Iraq. As well, the ambiguity of the expected role of the different Iraqi groups has complicated the process of "the building state and nation" project in Iraq. Though the Shiite group is considered as the highest demographic in Iraq, it is divided in its vision on the form of the future of Iraq and the Iraqi state-nation. Therefore, the study aims to figure out the vision of Shia intellectuals in regard to "state-nation building" project in Iraq.
