Mr. Adolph Held

President Amalgamated Bank11 Union SquareNew York , NY

Dear Mr. Held:

I want to call your attention to the recent arrivalin the United States of Mrs. Marie Juchacz , one of theoutstanding and best- known women leaders of the oldGerman Labor Movement . Perhaps she may be able torender a special contribution to the American effortof overthrowing the Hitler regime.

Mrs. Juchacz was a leading deputy of the Reichstag from1919 to 1933. She was at the same time a member of theExecutive of the German Social Democratic Party andpresident of the" Arbeiterwohlfahrt", famous culturaland social workmen's association, which had thousandsof Locals in all German communities. There is no doubtthat still today she is in high esteem among themasses of Germany 's industrial population. She is aGentile and, in spite of her 62 years, a very energeticand active personality. That is why she could be ofspecial value in propaganda work against Germany .

As far as I know, one of the departments of the O.P.M. is carrying out regular radio propaganda in the German language into Germany . It is the office of Mr. HerbertHarris and Mr. Paul Porter. I think Mrs. Juchacz , hername being so well known in Germany , would be an ex-cellent participant in such a service.

I am quite sure you have an opportunity to present thisidea to the proper authorities.

with kindest regards

Very sincerely yours,

Rudolf Katz
