I wonder whether your statement of December 18 isstill correct, namely that M.J. will be able to proceed toScattergood during January. W111 this plan be affected byNora Hackel's going to Scattergood, or have you not acceptedher definitely?
I know that Mrs. Juchacz is anxiously waiting for aword from you or Helen Day. Both her friends have left Meriden and she does not feel that she should stay any longer in thehome which has given her hospitality for so many months.Shehad an invitation to go to New York to stay with some friends,as I said in my memo of December 12th, but she could notproceed there, because they live, I believe, in the Navy Yardor some other area restricted for aliens.
I would be very grateful if you would write to Marie Juchacz very soon.
