I am always glad to see one of your courageous andwise letters, and of course, I am ever so much pleasedthat you like and understand Scattergood and what Friendsare trying to do.
Don't worry about not writing more letters; every busyperson understands that completely. It is only the idleones who usually complain about not receiving letters.
I read your little paper" One day in Scattergood" andI think it shows immense progress in English . I also heardthat your Scattergood counselors are very satisfied and arequite( confident that they can help you to find an openingin the not too distant future. I don't think, however, thatit should be in the teaching line. What would be your ownpreferences? Would you care to make a list some time andlet me know, since you now know a good deal more aboutAmerica and the way we work here than at the time of ourlast discussion.
All good wishes and greetings from all your friends inand near Bryn Mawr,
Cordially yours,
HK: gkp
