The Fourth World Conference on Women (1995) resulted in Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action. This document emphasizes that equality between women and men is a matter of human rights and a condition for social justice, as well as for sustainable development and peace. In 2014 Ukraine was to report on the progress made and challenges encountered in the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action. The national review covers trends, achievements, remaining gaps and challenges, as well as future plans to accelerate implementation of the Declaration at the national level.
