A future Palestinian state, in­cluding Gaza, the West Bank and East Jerusalem, must be built on inclusivity, equity and democratic governance to en­sure sustainable development and peace. Despite the ongoing conflict, practicing democracy and holding leadership account­able are essential for Palesti­nian self-determination and preventing Hamas from mo­nopolising negotiations.
