In addition to solving the crucial problem of energy availability at an acceptable cost, developing renewables is a safer economic growth potential for Algeria, which will thus emerge from its de­pendence on hydrocarbons. The switch to this new model of energy production will reduce pollution, thus con­tributing to the global chal­lenge of the fight against global warming.
