Charter of the Economy Table 25.1 indicates that two Provinces, Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa have a higher share in the Gross National Income than in the Gross Domestic Product. Bulk of the remittances, both foreign and domestic, flow into these Provinces. The estimated per capita income in 2018-19 of each Province at current prices is given in Table 25.2. The Province of Balochistan has the lowest per capita income, which is substantially below the national average by almost 29 percent. Punjab has a per capita income very close to the national per capita income. Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa has a per capita income also 9 percent below the national average. The growth rates of the Provincial Economies from 1999-2000 to 2018-19 are given in Table 25.3. The highest average GRP growth rate is of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa of just over 5 percent from 1999-2000 to 2018-19. It achieved the highest growth rate of 5.6 percent between 2004-05 and 2009-10.
