A N A LY S I S DEMOCRACY AND HUMAN RIGHTS REFUGEE LAW AND ITS IMPLEMENTATION IN THE WESTERN BALKANS The Western Balkan countries were in the frontline of the 2015 refugee crisis. In this regard, the EU has coordinated national efforts to manage migration.
