Analysis Jordan, International Financial Institutions and Social Justice Bessma Momani October 2020 Jordan has often been heralded as a star reformer, having adopted IMF and World Bank conditions and slowly liberalizing its economy to embrace neoliberal economic policies. Despite IMF and World Bank attempts to incorporate more social dimensions into their conditions, the outcome remains increased inequities that add to social frustrations. Jordan continues to remain highly dependent on IFIs and foreign donors just to meet its yearly budget outlays. 1
