Ethiopia has a long history of communal interrelations, historical records attest that Ethiopia’s nationalities and regions were intertwined and integrated in many different ways, despite the fact that they had distinct identities and institutions. As a national platform for dialogue has been established and efforts to create a national consensus are underway, insights into our history, and history education, can play an important role in building a national consensus. This book is a result of paper presented during a series of workshops with the theme ‘Interdependence and Interactions in Ethiopian History’.
