Abstract
- Vietnam is considered to be one of the countries most vulnerable to climate change. As such, transformations to increase climate change resilience have officially started at the policy level. Meanwhile, Vietnamese people are also transforming their livelihoods and lifestyles to become more resilient and adapted to climatic changes over time. After joining international agreements on climate change, most of Vietnams economic and social processes now include tackling climate change. Indeed, these strategies have been designed depending on the impact of climate change on each zone. The report will analyse the transformations in Ben Tre and Binh Duong provinces in three key dimensions: Livelihoods, energy, and infrastructure and transport. These three perspectives represent fundamental changes in the social structure in terms of both physical space and social organisation, thereby providing distinct policy suggestions.
