Abstract
  • Independent monitoring report no. 1 "Evaluation of the progress of the Republic of Moldova in the implementation of the recommendations of the European Commission in the context of accession to the European Union" has the purpose to inform the decision-makers and civil society in the Republic of Moldova, regarding the results of the evaluation of the implementation of the recommendations of the European Commission as part of the process of European integration of the Republic of Moldova. The document evaluates and monitors the dynamics of the reforms carried out by the Chisinau government in the implementation of the recommendations contained in the European Commission (EC) Report of November 2023, during July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024, namely: Democracy, Public Administration Reform, Justice Reform, Fight against corruption, Fundamental rights, Freedom of expression, Security, Existence of functional market economy, Public procurements, Statistics, Financial control, Social policies and employment. The report was developed by the Independent Analytical Center "Expert-Group", in partnership with the Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE), Institutum Virtutes Civilis ( IVC) and the "Friedrich Ebert" Foundation, within the "Civil Society for European Integration" project, financed by the European Union and co-financed by the "Friedrich Ebert" Foundation.
