  • This policy brief explores the recovery of Arbin city following its recapture by the Syrian regime in 2018. It examines the resurgence of business activity, marked by the shift from industrial production to smaller-scale enterprises and service-oriented businesses. The brief highlights the critical role played by infrastructures and networks established during the opposition�s control of the area, which allowed Arbin to recover and rival even stable areas in the Damascus suburbs.
