Georgian translation of Eric Lee’s book The August uprising 1924: Georgia and the Birth of Democratic Socialism has been published. The study is dedicated to the August 1924 uprising. The book discusses the uprising itself, but more importantly, explores its international angle – notably, how this uprising (and especially the brutal response that followed) became the last straw that led to the final split between Europe’s Socialist and Communist parties.
