This study examines the labor market situation and impact of third-country nationals working in Hungary, with particular attention to the manufacturing sector. Methodologically, the study is based on specially requested statistical data and interviews with experts with diverse backgrounds. Migrant workers from third countries face numerous challenges, such as indebtedness, strict regulations, and workplace vulnerabilities. Meanwhile, the material struggles of Hungarian workers increase distrust towards foreign laborers.
