Zusammenfassung

This report examines the political economy of the moto-taxi sector in Dar es Salaam. Its main objective is to understand the factors that facilitate or impede sustainable transportation and equitable outcomes for drivers. The report is based on qualitative interview data, a survey of 150 moto-taxi drivers, of which 47 are women, and a review of relevant academic literature, government reports, and other pertinent sources.
