Abstract
This publication explores the evolving identity of the Amazigh (Imazighen) people in Libya, tracing their journey through decades of repression to renewed cultural and political activism. Under Gaddafi's regime, Amazigh identity was silenced-but the 2011 uprising sparked a powerful resurgence, often called the "Amazigh Renaissance." As Libya continues to grapple with instability, the Amazigh fight for recognition, autonomy, and inclusion in a democratic future. This work offers a compelling lens into how indigenous communities navigate conflict, resistance, and nation-building in the pursuit of cultural survival and political rights.
