Abstract
  • Within last couple of years, there has been a trend of "new cities" within the countries of MENA, with urban development being a complex interplay of history, society, economy, and environment, we need to emphasize on the importance of investing in sustainability, livability, and social responsibility in urban development. Environmental stewardship, social equity, and economic vitality are key considerations, guiding the evolution of urban centers toward a high quality of life for residents. We advocate for smart technologies, data-driven solutions, and social considerations to enhance cities' adaptability and energy efficiency. Established and emerging urban centers present unique challenges and opportunities that shape sustainable development within MENA.
