Abstract
- The joint report by CGIL, DGB, Fondazione Di Vittorio and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung examines the deep structural challenges facing European industry, with a particular focus on Italy and Germany. Against the backdrop of economic stagnation, underinvestment, high energy costs and growing global competition, it argues for a new industrial policy based on strategic public investment, social justice and democratic participation. The publication outlines concrete proposals for a more resilient, innovative and inclusive European economy, in which industrial transformation goes hand in hand with quality jobs, stronger social cohesion and greater strategic autonomy.
