Abstract
What are peoples attitudes towards climate policies in Europe, the US and Canada? Are they aware about the need for action? How do they worry for social consequences, the economy and jobs? And what importance do people attach to participation and financial support in the transition? To find answers and better understand drivers and barriers for climate and transformation policies the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung commissioned the SINUS Institute to conduct a large-scale population survey in 19 countries. In their final report, the SINUS authors analyse the role of the various milieus studied as drivers and barriers to climate policy measures. They also look at how the milieus influence each other in their driving role and mobilisation.
