Abstract
Based on the FES MENA Youth Study, in which 1,000 young men and women were interviewed in twelve countries in autumn 2021, Ghassan Khatib shows the specificity of young Palestinians compared to youth in other MENA countries. The researcher analyses the main reasons behind the political apathy of Palestinian youth, stressing the impact of Israeli occupation as well as the socio-economic situation on their lives, a general shift towards religiousness as well as the young peoples’ views on migration.
