The Western Balkans countries should believe in a credible EU enlargement perspective while maintaining a continued dedication toward strengthening the proactive and constructive role in regional cooperation and good and neighborly relations, which are significant pillars of the EU integration process. The current engagement of the EU in the Western Balkans, reconfirmed in the Tirana Declaration following the EU-WB Summit, gives some hope for an acceleration of the integration process as well as the mitigation of Euro-sceptic perceptions in the region. Despite the EU's good intentions in establishing various regional organizations and initiatives to accelerate the European integration process in the Western Balkans, a large number of these organizations do not necessarily indicate successful and beneficial regional cooperation.
