Despite the huge budgetary allocations and spending in the defence sector, Nige¬ria continues to witness incessant attacks, loss of lives and property and other forms of crimes and criminality by bandits, terrorists, militants, kidnappers etc. Conversations have begun to emerge on the need to unravel what constitutes the defence budgets and secu¬rity votes and the nature of its accountability.
