This publication offers a quick overview of the background and rational for the development of the Amman Principles for National Mechanisms for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women and Girls. It also summarizes the nine developed Amman Principles and their proposed accreditation framework and process. This publication is a summary of the previously published study titled "Amman Principles for National Mechanisms for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women and Girls - Draft".
