Title: Az egyenlőtlenségek alakulása a koronajárvány idején Magyarországon (English translation of the title: Inequalities during the Coronavirus in Hungary) This representative opinion survey analyses how inequalities have developed during the first wave of the coronavirus in 2020 in Hungary in three different fields: labour market, unpaid care work and digitalisation. A special focus is being put on how corona effects the different social classes and inequalities between men and women. Also, the study shows how Hungarians perceive the effects of the pandemic on their own lives: Are they afraid to loose their jobs? Are they optimistic to find a new job? Did they have the chance to go on home-office? How did their subjective well-being change? Did they spend more or less time with care work – let it be child care or elderly care? What would help them to harmonise paid work and unpaid care work? What are the experiences of online-schooling? The results clearly show alarming tendencies and that the state and employers have serious responsibility in giving support to overcome the personal challenges of Hungarians and to slow down the increasing inequalities within Hungarian society.
