Abstract
On the one hand, this study looks into changes already implemented in the retail sector in Africa. On the other hand, it identifies and discusses potential changes to the sector. The overall focus is not only on the visible technological changes like automation, but also the less visible changes like staff scheduling and the shift towards a more flexible workforce.
