Real income per capita and real wages are experiencing a continuous increase since 2012, having reached prefinancial crises levels again in 2014 and 2015 respectively. In other words, the wages of the best-paid 428,000 employees are equal to the wages of other almost 2.8 million people. In 2019, i.e. before the Coronacrises, approximately two thirds of the Hungarian population said to be financially unprepared for any unexpected expenses.
