Abstract

  • A changing trend in the automotive industry from the internal combustion engine to the electric vehicle is unavoidable as many countries become increasingly concerned about global warming. The Thai automotive industry, therefore, needs to adapt to these changes in order to stay competitive in the global market. This research studies trends of the electric vehicle, its impacts on Thailand’s automotive and automotive parts industries, and on the workforce in the automotive parts industry, and provides policy recommendations to ensure a just transition.
