Zusammenfassung

This is a guide for sustainable events management to reduce the environmental, social and economic impact of events, in response to the ISO MENA STAR project, to dedicate the role of the private sector in the implementation of ISO standards in sustainable development in the Middle East and North Africa, the guide contains four main components:
First: a sustainable management system as per the 2012 / ISO 20121 standards, with management models for the main steps of the system. Also it covers the stages of planning, implementation, performance auditing, and taking corrective and improvement measures, also management models were employed to facilitate the implementation of the system and document all implementation steps, to guarantee the quality of performance and the ability to review and deal with variables during implementation, including continuous development and improvement.
Second: Implementation and auditing procedures lists to manage the main activities in the events to reduce their environmental, social and economic impact.
Third: Visual communication with the target groups during the event, and tools used to implement the procedures.
Fourth: A sample for the waste management plan before, during, and after the end of the activity, with waste management and tracking samples.
