Zusammenfassung
The May 8th withdrawal from the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as the Iran Nuclear Deal, by the United States, marked a dramatic shift in the manner in which relations between Iran and the rest of the world were approached. Europe, a strong supporter of the deal, clashed with US-Israeli views on the matter that deem the agreement as useless. Therefore, the manner in which Europe handles the upcoming negotiations with Iran will inevitably affect both the future of the agreement itself and the EU-Israel relations for the years to come.
The publication offers insights into the European and Israeli perspective and includes summaries of articles touching upon the issue of possible consequences of the US withdrawal on EU-Israel relations, the future of the Iran Agreement focusing mainly on its threats to Israel and Europe on different levels and its implications for Israel-EU relations as well as the new challenges for EU-Israeli relations following Trumps foreign policy.
