Abstract
Changes in the EU's monetary system plays an important role in the compatibility of social law principles. The pillar of social rights covers the provision of new, more effective citizens' rights, based on 20 fundamental principles, structured in three categories: equal opportunities and access to the labor market, fair working conditions and the social protection and inclusion of citizens. This study analyses Latvia's approach regarding the introduction of the Pillar. Furthermore, it reflects on Latvia's achievements in the context of the implementation-process, taking into account also the challenges.
