Zusammenfassung
The digitization is one of the central megatrends of our time. It is undisputed that this trend will have many effects on almost all sectors of the economy and society, but it remains controversial, what impact exactly. However, the claim of a progressive political approach can only be to not passively accept this trend, but to actively shape it. In contrast to Germany, where the discussion is already comparably advanced, the debate in the countries of Central and Southeastern Europe is still in its infancy. One of the reasons why Germany is already so much further ahead was the dialogue process "Work 4.0" initiated by the Federal Ministry of Labor in 2015, in which the trade unions played a central role. In order to enable the trade unions in the region OME and SOE to develop a position of their own, an analysis and evaluation of the German dialogue process was therefore prepared by two intimate connoisseurs of the entire process.
