Abstract
How can labour standards be implemented in global production processes? Global Framework Agreements (GFA) are an approach to regulating transnational industrial relations. These agreements between management and organized labour depend on the Global Union Federations as the main driving force. But what is the key for a successful implementation of a GFA in different national contexts? And what impacts do the agreements have in global production networks at the workplace? These questions are discussed in a comparative analysis of GFA in four different countries. For the main findings of the case studies please see the FES Perspective Globalising Labour Relations: On Track with framework agreements.
