    Since the return of multi-partyism in the 1990s, elections in Cameroon have always been marred by irregularities and fraud, leading to contestation of results and ever decreasing voters participation.

    In order to render the electoral process more credible, the manual “How to Prevent and Combat electoral fraud in Cameroon” offers a series of practical tips on what stakeholders can do to detect electoral fraude and to prevent it from occuring. Targetting political parties and civil society, the handbook provides specific indications on what concrete interventions can be in the different phases of the electoral process, ranging from voters registration, poll-watching and legal complaint mechanisms.
