Historically, the personalities and politics of the leaders of the two communities in Cyprus, as well as those of Greece and Turkey, did of course affect the evolution of events on the ground and any common ground reached. The approach of this study is to look forward as to the common target to which current leaders of all involved parties should aim, so that all involved parties emerge as winners.
