  • This publication seeks to examine intervention programs of the European Union on Organized Crime in West Africa such as proliferation of SALW, drug trafficking, terrorism and piracy, and in this context to outline factors which are inhibiting a sustainable implementation of viable strategies and projects. By drawing a link between the prevalent political, economic, social and geographical conditions in West Africa and the worsening threat of Organized Crime, the author highlights the necessity of effective and sustainable actions but also reveals the given challenges.
