This paper aims to analyse the current political situation in Hungary with its concept of “illiberal state building” mainly by examining the reforms that have been introduced by Orban’s second and third government. Finally, by comparing Hungary’s political organisation with the conditions in Turkey and Russia this essay grants insight into the internationally spread mechanisms of Illiberalism.
