This analysis of the German Eurozone-Debate indicates: German actors are split between supporters of a stability union and proponents of a fiscal union. While supporters of a stability union blame the Euro crisis on failure to stick to the rules, the proponents of a fiscal union point the finger at fundamental flaws in the design of the EMU. A new but smaller group of actors rejects both a stability union as well as a fiscal union and demands a reversal of currency integration.
