The numbers of people seeking protection in the EU have grown significantly in recent years. This report provides an overview of the current state of progress on the various initiatives to reform the European Union�s refugee policy. It focuses on three areas: the EU�s cooperation with countries of origin and transit; measures to secure the EU�s external borders; and the future of the Common European Asylum System.
