Zusammenfassung
The problem of violence against women has been and remains one of the acute problems of the Kyrgyz society. The number of cases and forms of violence against women is not only not decreasing, but increasing. Speaking of violence against women, it should be noted that domestic violence is one of the most common forms of violence. It is this form of violence that has the most negative impact on society. According to the National Statistics of 2015, the number of women who applied to crisis centers, aksakal courts and other specialized institutions was 10469 in 2015, while the number of officially registered crimes was 1009. This raises the question of the quality of the guarantees provided for compliance with the law by the state, which has undertaken to prevent cases of violence against women
The publication includes the conceptual framework for marriage, early marriages, the measures of overcoming the cases of beating, humiliation, cases of divorce, first help assistance while addressing to the police and ombudsman. General information on protection of human rights, including the information about crisis centers in Kyrgyzstan where it is possible to get assistance and shelter is provided separately.
This publication is one of the first guides/handbooks in two languages (Kyrgyz and Russian) for victims of violence that brings the sense of more effective communication and trust between the population and advocacy institutions, in order to encourage citizens to report and report crimes to law enforcement agencies.
The brochure supports the daily work of crisis and rehabilitation centers in conjunction with some of employment centers that provide counseling and assistance to qualified psychologists, lawyers, doctors on a free basis.
This book can be used in the centers which provide education and population development services on a free basis. It positively affects the situation with violation against women, which will make it possible to overcome existing problem and be socially inclusive in the future.
