Abstract
Many victims of domestic and sexual violence cannot access to justice due to many reasons. One is lack of gender sensitive in the justice process. This paper presented case studies of violence against women and problems while claiming for their rights at the beginning of the justice process, with the police. A number of policy recommendations for gender responsive police reform were proposed.
